Nissan is recalling 1,126 MY 2008 Quest, Titan and Armada vehicles equipped with manual adjustment front seats. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 207, "Seating systems." The seat track assembly may have been manufactured out of specification. This may result in the manual seat pawl not fully engaging increasing the risk of personal injuries in the event of a crash.

Now that the standard 2009 Nissan GT-R is in full production, development of the 2010 Nissan GT-R V Spec is ramping up. This is a lightweight version of Nissan's new supercar and it's scheduled to go on sale next year. In addition to its notable reduction in weight, the track-rated GT-R V Spec is also expected to get a slight increase in horsepower over the 480 hp of the standard model.
Seen here lapping the Nürburgring test track in Germany, the 2010 Nissan GT-R V Spec has several visible upgrades. Up front, a small aerodynamic splitter with twin air intakes has been added to the front airdam. It doesn't look like much, but given how dependent the GT-R is on its aerodynamics, even a small addition like this has a big impact. A slightly revised rear spoiler, possibly made of carbon fiber, is also visible in back.
A set of lightweight six-spoke wheels is another visible upgrade. We can't tell if the Bridgestone Potenza tires wrapped around the new wheels are any bigger, but they're probably a slightly stickier compound. Also visible are new composite brake rotors and slightly revised calipers. We've been told these are for testing purposes only at this point and will only be used if they show considerable improvement over the standard setup. Considering that a stock GT-R turned in the shortest 60-0-mph stop we've ever recorded, the addition of these carbon brakes on the GT-R V Spec isn't assured.
In addition to the weight-reduction program, the 2010 Nissan GT-R V Spec is also expected to surpass the 500-hp mark. Although rampant speculation on the Internet suggests the GT-R is already developing more than 500 horses, our recent dynamometer testing says otherwise. Even if this GT-R only adds another 25-50 hp, however, its reduced weight should make it considerably faster than the base model. Expect to see some official Nürburgring lap times later this summer.

Nissan is recalling 16,365 MY 2008 Infiniti EX35 and MY 2009 Nissan Murano vehicles. Due to incorrect software programming, the air bag control unit (ACU) may cause the passenger air bag not to operate as designed if the vehicle battery becomes significantly discharged. This could result in the passenger air bag not inflating in a crash in which it was designed to do so, and increasing the risk of injury.

For 2009 the Nissan Murano has been restyled inside and out. The interior has more space and under the hood the power plant delivers more performance while maintaining current fuel economy.
